The other day Baby A took it upon herself to eat a piece of dog food. It was a small piece but it was still dog food no less.

I swear... she would TOTALLY live in his crate with him if we let her...

Baby A has at least a dozen nicknames between D and I. I like to call her Lady the best because it amuses me. She really is my little lady though...

Expressing herself

Baby A has always been an especially expressive child. Though I'm sure she doesn't try to, sometimes it seems like she makes faces at you.

The following might make her appear as if she's got a little wild child-ness in her but she's actually smiling and laughing in every single picture! Her eye teeth were the second set of teeth that came in and everyone always comments about her little fangs that she's got going on. We think they are hilarious...

Such a little BIG girl now!

I can't believe that Baby A's first year is coming to a close. We're literally only 10 days away from her 1st birthday!!!

D and I had been discussing what to get her for her 1st birthday present from us and we wanted to get her something really really special that would create memories for a lifetime. We spotted this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ride-on plane in Target for a measly 30 bucks and though Baby A seemed to take some interest in it, it seemed like something that would easily lose its novelty very quickly. From there we decided that a ride-on type toy would be the best idea!!!

I discovered the Step2 buggy/car from spending hours on the web researching. It's a lovely little car that has a detachable handle and works great as an alternative to a stroller! It was way out of the range in which we hoped to spend but because I am never one to give up, I found it for less than half what we would have paid - only $30 on craiglist!!! It's been very gently "loved" but is pretty much new and though we could have put it away, we decided to take it for it's first spin today. We think that it looks a little like Grammy and Grandpap's Cooper!!!






This, of course, is/was Baby A's BIG gift from us but we're sure that she will enjoy it well enough even though we've given it to her a little early. And, definitely, it is something that we know will provide many happy and fun memories for her - that of which we were aiming for more than anything in the world.
